The Carver High School theater department won a Tommy Tune Award for “Best Ensemble/Chorus” for its production of The Color Purple. The announcement was made on Tuesday, April 16 to a crowd of more than 2,500 people at the 11th annual Tommy Tune Awards, held at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
