2 MacArthur High Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

On May 16, MacArthur High School had two student athletes sign letter of intent. Kaulen Applin will be attending the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio on a swimming scholarship while Asia Estrada will head to Blinn College on a softball scholarship. Applin’s swim coach is Joanne Rivera while Val Weldon coaches Estrada.

Aldine ISD Student Wins 3rd in National Academic Decathlon Competition

MacArthur High School student Celia Meza placed third in economics in the National Academic Decathlon Competition’s online individual event held April 25-27. Several MacArthur High Academic Decathlon students advanced to nationals. Three team members — Alexander Sandoval, Isabelle Galván, and Cody Nguyen — traveled to Minneapolis for the on-site event at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel.
