Young Ladies of Elegance will be distributing free prom dresses to the first 100 female high school seniors who register for the group’s Community Prom Dress Giveaway.
Dr. Kimberley Booker, CEO and founder of Young Ladies of Elegance, is spearheading the drive. Booker is also an Aldine ISD Trustee. Booker hopes to give away more than 100 dresses this year. She is asking for dress and accessory donations from the community. Interested individuals can contact her by calling (770) 560-9841 or (832) 366-3009. She will be accepting donations now until March 22.
Dress sizes will vary from small to 24. There is a limited quantity in each size available. There will be no additional dresses once they run out.
Registration is required to attend the Prom Dress Giveaway. Please RSVP by March 20 by calling (770) 560-9841 or (832) 366-3009.
When you register, don’t forget to provide your full name, the high school you attend, and the dress size needed.
Dr. Booker will be present to distribute the dresses and to share information about the group.
“I am passionate about the students in Aldine ISD. I wanted to help the young ladies who are in need of a prom dress,” said Booker. “This is about morale and confidence. It is a way to help students attend prom who may not have had the means to buy a dress. Everyone making this event possible wants our young ladies to look fabulous on their special night with their friends.
“This is about giving back to the community.”
