Earlier this school year, Doggett Ford partnered with Carroll Elementary School. In August, Doggett gave away more than 400 backpacks to students. As December rolled around, Doggett learned that many students, who had been displaced by Hurricane Harvey, had returned to the campus this year. Employees decided to make the holidays a little brighter for them.
The dealership held an Employee Toy Drive to collect gifts. On Saturday, Dec. 15, Doggett Ford invited 65 students for a couple of hours of cheer and good will.
Doggett Ford employees surprised students with gifts that included bikes, toys and game. They also received a visit from Santa as well as enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa.
Christy VanZandt, senior marketing specialist with Doggett, said partnering with schools is important. The dealership is will continue to find ways to help Carroll Elementary School students.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Carroll Academy,” said VanZandt. “We thoroughly enjoy helping students. And the toy giveaway was truly special for us. We look forward to continuing to find ways to work together in the future.”
