Aldine ISD Board President Steve Mead represented the District at the Bridging the Gap: Between Advocacy and Education Forum held Nov. 14 at the Klein Multipurpose Center.
Mead and representatives from Klein, Cypress-Fairbanks, Humble and Spring ISDs sat on a panel. They shared how districts strive to keep students and staff safe.
Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Selina Chapa, Assistant Superintendent Pat Leon-Wade and Police Chief Craig Goralski were also present. They discussed District policies, what districts can do and listened to concerns from community members present.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted the event, which was open to the public to attend.
