Max Brallier is the New York Times bestselling author of more than 30 books and games, including the middle-grade series The Last Kids on Earth.
Under the pen name Jack Chabert, he (click here) is the creator and author of the Eerie Elementary series for Scholastic Books as well as the author of the New York Times bestselling graphic novel Poptropica: Mystery of the Map.
He is also the creator and writer of Galactic Hot Dogs, a goofy middle-grade adventure series, and has written books for properties including LEGO, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, and Uncle Grandpa.
During his visit set for Oct. 17, Brallier will talk about his life and what inspired him to create his memorable and engaging stories. Following a question and answer session, Brallier will spend a little one-on-one with students as he signs books for his young fans.
One of the topics Brallier will likely discuss is creativity. In past interviews, Brallier has stated that long before he wrote his first bestseller, he was dreaming up stories.
“An imagination,” Brallier said, “Is the key to my success as a writer.”
Scholastic Book Fairs and the Aldine ISD Title I Department are sponsoring the visit and book signing to inspire interest in books and reading.
“This is a great opportunity for students to meet the famous author,” LaTashia L. Abrams, program director of Title 1. “Mr. Brallier will talk about his life and experiences as well as about reading, writing and the creative process.
