The District recently celebrated the Partner Appreciation Luncheon. Each year, the event provides an opportunity to recognize dedicated community and business partners for their support.
Superintendent Dr. Wanda Bamberg spoke about the impact partners have on kids’ lives. She lauded their extraordinary support of students, teachers and schools.
Approximately 300 hundred people attended. They included school administrators, community leaders, business partners/volunteers, School Board members and community involvement coordinators.
Michele McGovern, director of the Aldine Education Foundation (AEF), also took a moment to thank supporters. The Foundation works with the volunteer board of directors from across the community to seek new partners to support Aldine ISD.
Individuals, companies, and other organizations have helped AEF deliver $4.2 million to Aldine ISD through scholarships for graduating seniors and teacher grants to strengthen classroom learning, and programs to recognize and reward excellence for both students and educators.
For more information about volunteering in AISD schools, contact Abel Garza, assistant superintendent of community and governmental relations, at (281) 985-6202.
