The Hawks at Hambrick Middle School continues to help others. The campus once again chose to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, the students raised nearly $1,ooo.
To get everyone into the spirit, things got competitive. Classes challenged each other to see which one would make the largest donation. Teacher Cathy Huff’s class raised the most. Her class earned a Party on the Patio reward.
Already in a friendly competitive mode, the campus threw a little basketball fun into the mix. A student from each class took part in the 3-point shoot out competition. Dequirion Johnson won the seventh grade event. For the eighth grade event, Joeangel Méndez took the title.
