The Conley Elementary School staff members went all out for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
The month kicked off with many staff members participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure held Oct. 4.
Throughout October, staff members worked together. They educated parents and students about breast cancer awareness. The school also raised funds to donate towards breast cancer research.
The staff ended the month with a “Pink Out” event.
“We felt this was a great way to culminate Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” said Principal LaDon Ward. “It was really nice to see everyone come together for a good cause.
“Our staff really took this to heart. We have cancer survivors at our campus, so this made it extra special.”
