Calvert Elementary School hosted a Spring Fiesta Club Party on April 8.
Fiesta, the club party sponsor, donated nearly $400 worth of groceries and prizes.
Club Party is designed as a fundraiser for community organizations. Fiesta and participating manufacturers will provide all of the ‘fixings’ for dinner to feed up to 125 individuals. The organization has the opportunity to sell the tickets at whatever price they decide and keep all the ticket proceeds.
Fiesta provides a party coordinator and a master or mistress of ceremonies who leads the games and prize giveaways.
Calvert Elementary School volunteers shopped for the food, prepared the food in the campus’ kitchen and served the evening meal to parents and students who attended the event.
“Everyone had so much fun playing the Fiesta trivia game and winning door prizes,” said Kimberly Johnson, a teacher at Calvert Elementary School. “We served a Fiesta taco salad, Spanish rice, beans, chips and salsa, and for dessert we had cookies and ice cream. Our Calvert Elementary School families walked away happy and full. It was a blast!”
