Odom Elementary School students involved in the League of Distinguished Gentlemen Exemplar (L.O.D.G.E.) Program are creating a community garden. The boys of L.O.D.G.E. completed the garden as a part of their community service project requirement.
The program is designed to teach young boys to be responsible citizens and leaders of their community. The students learn valuable lessons and skills to be successful in school and life.
“Our focus is to immerse the boys in community service projects, character education as well as focus on academic achievement,” said Frank Cisneros, teacher and sponsor of the program. “The community garden is just one of the many projects that help teach the students to be responsible citizens and leaders of tomorrow.”
