One of Aldine ISD’s campus teachers of the year who will be honored at the Teacher of the Year Breakfast on March 7, 2014.
When asked about her teaching philosophy, she responded:
When my students say they want to be teachers, astronauts, chefs, doctors, even president of the United States, it brings me pride, joy, and hope for a bright future. My investment is the time and effort I give them. I believe each student has his or her own gifts, talents waiting to be tapped, cultivated, and appreciated. Our aim is not to impart our own opinion but to kindle minds. I want to be their Merchant of Hope, a guide to self-discovery, and a key to doors of learning while training them the way they should go.
