Earlier this month, Calvert Elementary School hosted a father-daughter dance. More than 200 girls and their dads or positive male role models attended the dance.
Many of the young ladies took the opportunity to dress up.
“The girls were simply beautiful,” said Kimberly Johnson, response to academic intervention specialist at the campus and one of the event’s organizers. “The girls were truly little princesses who enjoyed being the center of everyone’s attention.”
The students danced, made cards, and shared special goodies served at the dance.
“I believe the staff enjoyed it just as much as the girls,” added Johnson. “We had so much fun selecting the perfect songs for the girls to dance with their dads.
I’m certain our girls will forever remember their special evening.”
